Perla Davide is a TCRG certified Irish dance teacher and performer based in Milan, Italy. She began training in ballet at the age of four, developing a strong technical foundation before discovering Irish dance in 2008. From that moment, Irish dancing became the heart of her artistic and professional journey.
Her training began at Gens d’Ys Academy, where she developed the technique and deep connection with the Irish dance tradition that still guide her work today. As a competitive dancer, she qualified twice for the Irish Dancing World Championships, in Dublin (2017) and Glasgow (2018). After leaving Gens d’Ys, she joined ROIS — Rome Irish and Scottish Dance School, one of Italy’s leading Irish dance organisations, with internationally certified teachers and a strong presence in competitions and cultural events across the country.
Since the age of fourteen, Perla has performed at festivals, theatres and Celtic music events across Italy and Europe — including Milwaukee Irish Fest, the world’s largest Irish music and culture festival with over 120,000 attendees, Peoria Irish Fest and Chicago Gaelic Park Irish Fest. She has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as James Greenan — World and All-Ireland champion, 12-year principal dancer with Riverdance and Creative Director of Rhythm of the Dance — and Hillary Klug, the American Dancing Fiddler from Nashville whose fusion of fiddle and Appalachian dance has earned her millions of followers worldwide and a role in Cirque du Soleil’s Songblazers. Perla has also toured the US and Europe with Gadan, the acclaimed Italian band blending Irish traditional music, bluegrass and Appalachian folk — the first Italian band ever to perform at Milwaukee Irish Fest.
At sixteen Perla began teaching Irish dance — to children, teenagers and adults — discovering that it would become one of her greatest passions. She also completed her professional training at SPID – Italian Professional Dance School in Milan, earning a diploma as dancer and dance teacher.
Today Perla is a certified TCRG (Teagascóir Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha), the official qualification issued by An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha, which allows her to teach Irish dance internationally and prepare students for competitions and performances. She is also the creator and dancer of the Celtic Roses project, developed in collaboration with Letizia Perin.
Teaching is at the heart of Perla’s work as a TCRG certified Irish dance teacher. Based in Milan, she offers regular Irish dance lessons for children, teenagers and adults of all levels, collaborating with established dance schools in the city — including Danza Mara Terzi, one of Milan’s most respected and historic dance schools, founded over 40 years ago and home to a vast range of disciplines from classical ballet to flamenco. Perla also runs workshops and intensive courses across northern Italy, including Bergamo, Brescia and Busto Arsizio, bringing competitive-standard Irish dance training to students throughout the region.
Her teaching approach is rooted in the technical rigour of the TCRG syllabus and shaped by years of competitive and professional performance experience. The results speak for themselves: her students regularly place at Feis competitions across Europe, with notable results at the Prague Feis, Munich Feis and Busto Arsizio Feis. In 2026, one of her students qualified for the Irish Dancing World Championships in Chicago — the pinnacle of competitive Irish dance — a testament to the quality of training Perla brings to every class.
Her work as a teacher and performer has also brought her to national television, with appearances on both RAI and Mediaset, further establishing Celtic Roses as one of Italy’s leading Irish dance companies.
